How to run Linux (kali , ubuntu, etc ) Live from USB drive



For Making Live USB for any Linux System We need Following Things :-
   1   8 Gb USB 
   .Iso file (Kali Linux Images)
   3  Win 32 Disk Image 
  • 8 Gb USB -  We need  a USB of space more than 8Gb because the size of .iso file of kali is about 3Gb. So we need at-least a 8Gb USB . 

  •  .Iso file  - Download image file of Linux. I am using Kali. Download Image file of Kali from their official site. : Download Kali Linux Images
  •  Win 32 Disk Image - After downloading .iso file, we need a software to write it on USB for making live USB.There is many software but am using Win 32 Disk Image.
Download Win 32 Disk Imager 
After doing all these,follow these steps :-
  • Install and open Win 32 Disk Imager.

  •  Now Click On Folder Icon.

  •  Change the file type and select the .iso file.

  • After Selecting .iso File, Click on Write..it will take sometime...

Done ..! Our Live USB is ready for Use....!!
  • Now Insert again your USB into System.
  • Restart Your Pc.
  • Enter into Boot manager By clicking your boot keys (i.e. f12 ,f2 etc).
  • Now Select Your USB in boot Menu.


  • Now it will take sometime to Start Kali Live.


  • Now a Kali Interface will open in your screen.
  • Click on Kali-live 
 

  • If it will ask for User Name and Password then User name is root  and Password is toor.


Done..!! Now you can run Linux live from USB
